What do you recommend for a beginner? I haven't ever played and I have no idea where to start. I would really appreciate any suggestions you might have! Thanks so much!

Well I will say this, don't fall for the huge myth that the more you pay for your clubs, the better your game will be because that is silly. If you don't know how to operate the equipment, it's not going to work for you. I think you should get you a nice cheap set to practice with and build your game up with. Once you get your game together and feel comfortable in what you do, then you could spend a little more on clubs.

That only makes sense, I think you should invest all that money on clubs when you don't how to use them correctly. You might want to go get a set of golf clubs from the flea market to start off with.

If you're a beginner and you know that you truely like golf and you want to become better. You can't go wrong with calloway. I mean their x- series are super forgiving clubs, but yet at the same time you can still work the ball when you get better at ball striking. Although the nike sling shot irons are easy to hit, you will soon out grow them. What I mean is that you're gonna start to want something more out of your clubs as far as manuevuerability and using them in diff lies.

Those aren't too bad in price but for the unsure golfer go with the used or at least with something that won't break your pockets just in case you decided that you just wanted to be Like Tiger woods for a quick second because his swing looked impeccable.

Tanks for letting us know this. I am a new golfer myself, and don't have a lot of money to spend on equipment.

I actually did that I bought my first set of clubs from a flea market near my house. I wasn't sure if I was going to continue to play so I didn't invest alot of my money in it.

That makes a lot of sense. I am using some borrowed clubs at the moment.

i don't think that you should actually buy some expensive clubs if it isn't something that you really want to do. I think that you should start off small then move up, it only makes sense.

I play but not enough to go out and buy expensive clubs. Most courses will rent you your equipment.
