First lets define what a golf handicap is. A golf handicap has been defined as the numerical measure of a person's golfing ability. The handicap is used for amateur golf players.
The handicap is used to tell a golfer how many strokes they get to take off their scores, to produce a net score. First, Practice…Slowly
Good form during a golf swing is very important in improving one's performance. Many times you'll find golfers make the mistake of going for many repetitions instead of focusing on their form per swing. If you don't practice your swing to form perfection, doing repetitive exercise can actually hurt your handicap since you could be repeating a wrong form over and over again. This is why it's important to practice good form slowly and make sure your not repetitively repeating the wrong form. Which could burn the wrong form into your muscle memory and could hinder your bid for better performance, and a lower handicap.
Practicing your golf swing in slow motion can be a great way to fine tune your swing, also allowing you to get the right form while you are at it. You may start speeding up your swing a little a time while you practice. Eventually, you'll have yourself doing the right form over and over again, and that is when repetitive swing exercises can help.
Second, Get a Good Grip
Having a good golf grip is very important. The best way to develop a good grip, is by practicing it anytime you can. You can practice it even while sitting on the sofa watching T.V.. With enough practice, holding the golf club properly will come second nature to you. So keep practice often, as much as you can.
Third, Get a pro
Another great way to improve your golf handicap, and lower your golf scores. Is to find a local golf pro that can observe your swing and help you to get the right form. Cause there's nothing worse than thinking your practicing the right form and come to find out, you had know idea what the right form actually looked like.
So as with most things, practice makes perfect. Just make sure your practicing smarter instead of more.
