I entered 20 golf scores on this and two other sites. The other two came out to a 8.3 index and this one came out to a 9.2. Any idea what the difference is? Is there any was to see which 10 scores this site used to create the handicap?

    Thanks

In an effort to figure out what is wrong with the way I figure out my handicap I only put 10 of my scores in, the same 10 that the other sites used and the total handicap dif. came out to 86.9 and if you divide that by 10 and then times that by .96 you get an index of 8.3 which is what the other sites come up with. This site says my index is 7.0. I am at a total loss what I am doing wrong with this to make this come out to the same as the other two sites I have tried.

I too have found a discrepancy of 1.1 in my handicap index as computed here and two other sites which I also use. The other sites calculate my handicap index as 8.6 as compared to 9.7 here. All scores posted at all 3 web services are indentical including the course rating and slope ratings. There has to be a difference in the method of calculation used for this to occur. I would like to see someone here at N.C. to address this matter.

I'm glad someone else has the same problem. I have tried to figure it out but believe there is something wrong with this site as two others have come up with a different handicap. Those two are the same and are about 1.0 lower than this one. I just don't use this one anymore although it has some features I liked.

I too, use two other sites. Today I posted another 18 hole score at all three sites, this site calculated my handicap index at 10.1, the other's were identical 9.6. The difference is narrowing perhaps this site makes an adjustment to the handicap index until a total of 20 scores are submitted. I'll find out when I get to the 20 scores. FIR'S AND GIR'S to you!

    Hey, guys..

I'm going to have our developer look into the problems that you say you're having with the figures being off compared to other trackers.. Keep me posted on any discrepancy that you may find.

    Cheers,

    Admin

Thanks Admin, I just entered my 13th score. My handicap index is as follows: Here - 9.8, greenskeeper.org, 9.7, golf link - 9.4. Greenskeeper mentions the following: "Please note your Month To Month Current Index will be LOWER then your Last 20 Rounds Played Index because the Month To Month Index needs to factor in a .96 USGA differential whereas the Last 20 Rounds Played Index does not." Hope this helps! Thanks for a great job. Manny

I have 20 scores entered on all three sites. This one has my index at 10.3, the other two are both 9.5 so it appears it is still different from the other two. Thanks, Doug
