I would be obliged if there is anyone out there who could offer some help to 6 Scottish golfers travelling to Myrtle Beach on Saturday 11th October 2008.
Basically the story goes: We will arrive in Raleigh Durham on the late evening of Friday 10th of October 2008 and stay overnight at a hotel very near to the Raleigh Crabtree Valley Mall.
Included in our party are wives and girlfriends who do not for some unknown reason best known to themselves play golf.
Our intention is to depart the following morning for Myrtle Beach and stay in that area.
What we would like to do is leave early onthe Saturday and play a course on the way down to Myrtle Beach and on or near the route South, but we would like to find something for the women to do (and at the risk of upsetting every female who reads this board)they just want to shop.
My idea of heaven would be to drop them off at a mall and then travel no more than 5-10 miles and play a decent course in the vicinity and then go back pick them up and then continue south.
Basically we would like to tee off around 10am and be back on the road again by say 4pm and hopefully arrrive at our destination later in the day, because if the women know how to shop believe me we know how to drink.
I challege all of your golfers to come up with what would be the perfect scenario and if you live nearby we would welcome your attendance if possible because we maybe able to help you out should you ever come to Scotland.

There is a huge outlet mall there. I think it is called tanger outlet. Not sure of the exact location, but it is centrally located. Can't help you with the golf courses. I live in Pinehurst, which is only a couple of hours away.
