North Carolina has come to host 2 very important tournaments for the PGA Tour.

The Wachovia Championship is a very lucrative tournament for the pro's attracting a star studded field. The perks and payout for this tournament, not to mention the almost perfect venue, have established this as the fifth major for most players.

The Wyndham Championship is one of the last chances some of the borderline playes have to make it into the FedEx Cup Playoffs. While the field is not as stellar as the Wachovia, this is another well respected tournament that promises to attract at least the "B" level pro's.

These regular stops, combined with the US Opens that are periodically held in Pinehurst and the Nationwide stop at TPC Wakefield, and the Champions Event at Prestonwood are putting North Carolina Golf on the map.
