Hey, my names Kayla. I live in Davie County, NC. I have a membership at Silo Run in Booneville. I don't play much just sometimes on the weekends with my boyfriend. I've only played a couple of times & I shoot in the 90's =] don't laugh. I work at an internet business based in Winston Salem. Graphic designs - I do embroidery work. I'm 19 & live with my boyfriend, I just started this. The main reason I am starting it is to see about some amatuer tournaments. My boyfriend has been playing golf for about 8 months now and is wanting to get into some tournaments. If anyone can let me know where I might beable to go to find out more about this let me know please, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Kayla

Actually shooting in the 90's for only played a couple of times is Great! Well you've come to the right place to find amateur tournament events... We currently don't have any listed on the site but I'm hoping to have that section up in the next few days, Bare with me :) I'll see what i can do about posting a few in your area here on the Forum for now.

I think North Carolina has been waiting a long time for a good solid and informative website.
Several great courses, so far I have enjoyed playing Tobacco Road. You really need to get creative and know you game as you will be shooting many shot blind. You will also need all the ego strength you can muster as this course will either knock you in the dirt or you will feel like a million dollars. I shot an 88 my first time out about 6 weeks ago. It was a blast!

I don't think I said hi to anyone on this forum. I just came in and started posting and getting my conversation on. Whats up everyone, I'm a wanna-be golfer. I haven't gone pro or even gotten out of the country club, but I love golf. I don't have to get paid to play it, I just like the way it makes me feel. It's my stress reliever.

I'm new to golf and to this website. what you guys have going here is really awesome. It's always good to have an info source on the web that succinctly organizes all the information that you need within a given field--y'all seem to really have it together. I look forward to seeing the site as it progresses.

Anybody have any tips for the best way to break into the game of golf? Where should I start as a beginner?

wesleyj, Thank you for that . As far as getting into the game of golf. A great place to start is to grab a buddy of yours that plays golf, and go to the driving range with him. It'll be alot of fun :) , And i'm sure they wouldn't mind you using their golf clubs to start with. That's how I first started out. It's a great way to spend a afternoon.

Hello from Apex North Carolina... I've been playing for a few months now, one of my favorite golf courses around the area is Knight's play. It's a wonderful par 3 course. Anyone else around here played at Knight's play before?

Well a must golf course to check out in North Carolina would be Tobacco Road. It's a very unique golf course. The course bends so much they have smoke stacks to show you where the hole is. And the course's yardage is huge!
So have you ever visited NC Before?
