New Zealander Steve Williams has no intention of quitting his job as caddie to Tiger Woods, he said in a newspaper interview Sunday. Williams told New Zealand's Sunday Star-Times he did not know why rumors were circulating he was about to end his lucrative eight-year partnership with Woods, the world's No. 1-ranked golfer.

Who knows how these rumors get started. Maybe Williams started it himself to get more money out of Tiger.

I have heard of people doing that. They make a rumor saying they are leaving, then the person they work for finds out and offers more money to stay, and the rumors origin is never found.

So did he get a more lucrative contract out of Tiger?

Well, it's gotta be a tough job being Tiger's caddie. I mean Tiger is a demanding guy and he's short on patience. And yeah it does make you wonder if he started the rumor to try to leverage it and get more money.
  1.
Probably. I didn't realize that Tiger was that demanding.

I had heard he can be a little bit of a Prima Donna. I still like the guy though.
  2.
And what is the going rate for a caddy anyway?

For what Tiger can afford, I could caddy for him!
