    Phil Mickelson played in the Fry's Electronics Open mostly as a favor to his friends with the host Phoenix Thunderbirds and his pals at the Grayhawk Golf Club, a venue he helped design. Grayhawk's Raptor Course showed no such allegiance to Mickelson, who missed the cut by 1 shot. "It's disappointing," Mickelson said after shooting 1-over 141 in the first two rounds. "I would have liked to play well here with it being a course I grew up on and spent so much time (on)."

    What a bummer for phil. I've been through games like that, many of times. I still enjoy the game of golf even though I do not consider myself to be good.

    I always miss the cut at touneys that I've participated in. It doesn't matter though because I go there for the experience, the tourney experience. Thanks for the golf news.
