Don't be afraid to tee it a bit higher. Now, if you're topping it, you are most likely lookin up before your club meets the ball. If you are hitting thin, you are also most likely raising your head. This premature head raising pulls your club up and away from the ball. So, keep your head down. Really focus on the back of the ball and allow yourself to swing through before peeking. Now, for the slice: You are probably swinging the club too much up toward your head and down - putting a spin on the ball and causing the slice. So, to correct the slice, think of swinging around at the ball, more like you would if you were swinging a baseball bat. Good luck. These things worked for me.
