Erik Compton recently suffered a heart attack while driving to his Miami home after a practice round. Compton started feeling ill on the way home, so he made a detour to the hospital -- a decision that no doubt saved his life. According to Nationwide Tour player Brad Adamonis, who won Sunday's WNB Golf Classic in a eight-hole playoff, Compton was listed in critical condition when he arrived at the hospital and was told that had he waited five more minutes to drive himself to the hospital, he would have died. Admonis said things have improved slightly since then, but Compton, 27, remains hospitalized.
That is sad to hear when people suffer from heart attacks. Its hard when people close to you get one and dont make it. He was lcuky to make it. I hope erik recovers to full strength.
I hope eriks recovers too. It would be a great loss losing another great player. I did not lose any family members to heart attacks. I'm hoping it doesn't happen, period!
