I hope I'm not upsetting on the site by saying this, but is there anything more frustrating than when you and a buddy show up for your tee time... just the two of you as scheduled and there before you are 4 novice players in front of you. I don't meant to sound like a snob, but I don't understand how I can pay good money for a tee time and have my entire day and game slowed down by this.

My favorite is when they yell otu of the clubhouse at them to let you pass. :D :D :D

Being a novice myself- I take no offense and gladly offer to let others ahead as I am in the learning process. I think that tee time deserves the common courtesy of everyday :)

Crystal you are crazy but anyway, I don't really take offense myself actually it doesn't bother me what so ever. I just watch and let them do their thing.

I get upset when I pay for my time and others want to take their time.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't start until you begin to play. I wouldn't expect anything less than that.

it depends on the course you are at. Not all course are the same nor do they practice the same rules.

Not everyone feels that way. I have seen a couple of people who have lost their tiem due to rude people.

I'm sure if you whine enough about it, you would either get your tie back and or your money.

This has probably happened to everyone as some time. Remember they paid to play the same as you. The thing to remember is everyone had to start out as a novice. No matter how much time they spent at the range playing on a course is an entirely different experience. I usually find that after several holes if the group sees you waiting on them they will let you thru. If not, you could ask politely if you could play thru. If that does not work you could each play 2 balls - that is what I have done several times - play against yourself - good practice.

If no one is close behind I practice puts or chipping. Since I'm new I understand a lot of strokes, last week I was behind a group that was hitting extra balls and talking on the phone with people waiting.
