I find a lot of ppl don't realize the importance of having good sunglasses. Especially when playing a sport like golf when you are outside in the sun all day. The last thing a golfer needs against them is bad vision. And seeing the hole is a plus for something (unnecessary for poor golfers like me, LOL)
I have Oakley's and they have never disappointed me. And I feel much better for protecting my eyes from the awful strong rays of the sun.
I've never liked sunglasses because it messes with my depth perception. I've tried high quality glasses like smiths and oakleys, but I feel it makes me uncomfortable and things look different. I"m more of a feel player and I don't like when things don't look right to me.
I have a pair of Fossil sunglasses that are polarized. I first saw the difference of polarized lenses and how they reduce glare by having someone show me glare from a car windshield through the polarized lenses held at a ninety degree angle to normal, then slowly turning them to the position they'd be worn in. I could see the glare reduce as they were turned.
Has anyone else here tried that with polarized glasses?
I'm not sure if they'd be any different in terms of messing with depth perception.
I have a pair of Fendi's,lol. Not trying to boast or anything like that. But they are actually good on my eyes. I find it hard sometimes to actually play with glasses on when golfing. I hate to admit but I missed the ball a couple of times trying to golf with glasses on, what an amatuer.
I suffer from Astigmatisim in both eyes and MUST wear protective eyewear in the sunlight at all times. I wear glasses anyway and tend to get them with tinted lenses- but sometimes this just isn't enough to block the light out ;(
Well that is a reason to wear sunglasses, I personally could do with out the glasses. It doesn't nothing for me at all. I mean you are trying to focus on hitting a ball so to me sunglasses would do nothing but be in the way.
I wear glasses all the time when golfing, I hate the glare of the sun being in my eyes. That irritates my focus when trying to hit the ball. Plus it's just not healthy to have the beaming sun all in your eyes like that.
