I mean, you can only implement so many tips and advice to be put into practice. The whole goal of the swing is to remove all thoughts from your mind and swing effortlessly. Sometimes my head spins with all the tips available.
Me Too! you try so hard to think if everything that may or may not help your swing that you end up doing so many different things. Or trying to anyway. Not only do I think about what I should or should not do. I think of a thousand different other things like washing the car or cleaning the garage out. Crazy I know!
It is hard trying to clear your mind yet keeping in mind all the tips given to get a good stroke in- sometimes I picture the calm of the ocean right before I swing- it helps clear my mind of everything!
I think thinking about life as a whole helps motivate me in ways that nothing else can. so I do a lot of thinking on the course. It's like a pressure release a form of therapy for me. A place where I can address all of my issues.
It depends on what it is that I'm doing. If I'm going to distance then I'm going to think of something that is going to make me upset. But if I'm looking for a subtle hit then I'm going to think of something that is calming.
When you are golfing though I think that should be just what you are doing, golfing! nothing else. Everything else doesn't matter for me. Thats my down time.
