Some ppl look down on the use of golf carts because it's not how the pros play. I have used a golf cart and some days when it's really hot I think I would pass out if I had to walk. But I like to walk when the temperature is right. Thoughts?

I don't see anything wrong with having a cart, I think most people use them though when they don't have a caddie or at least a good one.

It takes less time to hop in a golf cart than it does to actually walk to the location where you want to be.

I take the carts, I hate to walk because my ankles aren't too good. I would rather drive through than walk plus it gives me wind to my hair lol.

It depends on how I feel to be honest with you. If I am in the ole excerise mood them I would be glad to walk but if I'm lazy that day please know that I will take a cart.

My friends and I try to walk when the weather is reasonable (not too hot or cold). We feel we get exercise and also a feel for the next shot as you walk up behind the ball. With a lot of courses the carts may be restricted to cart paths - possibly due to recent rain, etc. This means you have to guess on the club to take to the ball or carry half your bag to insure you have the correct one for the shot.

Half your bag? That's stretching it a little, but yes you may have to grab a couple of clubs for the correct shot.

I try to walk as much as possible.

I typically walk when I play nine at my home course. On weekends they require carts befor 1:00. Also, the back nine has much more elevation change, so if I play 18, I ride the back.
