This is a challenge, all ye golf enthusiasts. Put on on your thinking cap and discuss how these two seemingly different things can have something in common..
  1.
Both are patronized by powerful men, leaders in politics and business. Ask most presidents of countries what their sport is.

And ask them what their favorite thing to smoke and they will either say a s\ciger or they will have one in their mouth.

I would have to say that buying cigars and playing golf can both be very expensive!

I have no idea, is there a real answer? I think MHJ has a pretty good guess.

I think it would be a mix of both- very expensive and a sport of powerful men (and now a days women) in politics and business.

Its just something about you playing golf. for alot of people I have found that they feel much more powerful if they are playing golf. There is a certain amount of importance that is involved with playing golf.

If I have to be around a stinking cigar I won't golf much. Don't want to be around cigarettes if I can help if, even outside.

I'm getting to the point where I feel the same way. Smokers have no consideration when it comes to smoking around others. Especially during golf makes me so angry at times.

You are right, they should. Not everyone wants to be around that. But thats the world we live in. A world full of rude people.
