Tiger Woods' decision to bypass Westchester was viewed as the highest form of betrayal, because it either indicates that $10 million isn't enough to entice earth's richest athlete to play, or it shows that Woods believes he's so vastly superior to the field that he can spot the rest of the world a tournament's worth of points and still win the playoff.

I mean really, why is it such a bad things for the man to say that he doesn't want to play it. If he was greedy he would have gladly taken the money. I'm sure its wasn't about the amount of money. Maybe he just didn't want to play the tournament and there is nothing wrong with that.

I think it's a form of disrespect, you are expected to play that so why wouldn't you. It's more or less not an option even though it comes out like that. It's one of those unwritten rules.

I really think everyone should leave him alone. I figured he didn't want to play and I left it at that. But we always seem to take things to a whole different level.
