Tip for a Golf Slice or Fade

A golf slice or known as a fade, occurs when the golf club head is open at the point of impact. This causes side spin on the golf ball. Which in turn produces a Golf Slice / Fade. Initially the momentum of the golf ball will send it straight, but after the forward momentum slows down, the affects of the spin on the golf ball take over and slice / fade your golf ball to the right.

There are several causes for this condition this also includes the golf equipment you use and your swing. If you have a golf equipment problem, the club shaft may be too flexible, to fix this make sure to have the right shaft for your swing speed. Another problem may be the that the head of the golf club driver that you have is open faced.

A neutral or closed faced driver, usually called an offset driver, will help to stop a golf slice. When it comes to the swing there are many different exercises on can do to help. You can practice drills on trying to swing from the inside out instead of outside in.

The one that works pretty good for some people is this: Go to the golf driving range and tee up as you normally do. Now try to hook the ball really bad. Exaggerate turning your hands over. Keep doing this at least 15 times or until you hook every shot. Now try to hit one straight. You will see that the exaggerated swing begins to build muscle memory and causes you to turn you hands over better even on your normal shot.

Curing your golf slice, with a bit of practice you can take out that golf slice for good in no time.

Repitition works, it's like teaching your body to get use to that certain latitude of swing. But it takes a while for your body to actually get used to doing it though.
