    Buried Bunker Shots

The most important thing to hitting a buried bunker shot is knowing you don't have to swing the club hard to get the ball out, whether it's a fairway bunker or a green side one. Hitting the ball properly with the club face is far more important than how hard you swing the golf club. If you find your golf ball in a bunker always us a lob or sand wedge and address the ball as if you were going to hit a normal shot. Open up your club face and make a nice, smooth, powerful swing. When you swing the golf club, make sure that you are driving the heel of the wedge towards the golf ball. You may think why do this, thinking you might hit the golf ball with the heel, but you won't. This just adds more power to the lift of the ball.
