Tiger Woods Joins the 4-some in Bermuda 2007 PGA Grand Slam

With Tiger's 13th major win he has secured his spot in Bermuda. By winning the PGA Championship at Southern Hills,Tiger Woods will now be one of four major winners playing in the 2007 PGA Grand Slam of Golf at the Mid Ocean Club in Bermuda. The Grand Slam of Golf is the annual season ending golf tournament that matches up the four major winners of the season in a best of the best event. The Grand Slam has been moved from its usual location in Hawaii to the gorgeous fairways of the Mid Ocean Club in Bermuda. The event runs for 3-days from October 15th thru 17th starting off with a Pro-Am tournament followed by 36-holes of the best golf you will see all year. In the end you will find out who will be crowned champion of the champions.

    2007 Major Winners
    Tiger Woods (PGA Championship Winner)
    Zach Johnson (Masters Winner)
    Padraig Harrington (British Open Winner)
    Angel Cabrera (US Open Winner)

The PGA Grand Slam in Bermuda will mark Tiger's 9th trip to the event. Having won 7 of the last 8 he has appeared in and only finishing second in his first appearance in 1997. His opponents this year are all making their first appearance at the event. However, this may not be the walk in the park for Tiger that you are thinking it to be. He is matched up against the golfers who have survived some of the toughest play at the majors to date.

At the Masters, Zach Johnson finished with a 1-over par after 72-holes while Rory Sabbatini, Retief Goosen and Tiger Woods all tied for second at 3-over. Then next major played was the US Open at the very challenging Oakmont Country Club where Angel Cabrera took the event with a 5-over par while Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk tied for second at one stroke back. The 3rd major tournament played was the British Open at Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland. Padraig Harrington took The Open Championship after defeating a stumbling Sergio Garcia in playoff rounds and finishing 7-under par for the tournament Tiger Woods finished tied for 12th).

So, all have proven themselves worthy of their place in Bermuda at the 2007 PGA Grand Slam of Golf but will Tiger continue his domination at the event or will the new comers fight back and succeed at the new location?

You have to give Tiger a great deal of credit for being as consistently successful as he has been for as long as he has been
